Nahiku Accident

Where did you get your information regarding the accident resulting in that poor woman's death in Upper Nahiku on 01/16/12? We arrived at the scene on our way out of Hana before any first responders (including Maui Police Dept.) Where the accident occurred there is certainly no "25 foot cliff" in that part of "Upper" Nahiku, in fact, there isn't a single cliff any where near that area. When got got to the scene there were 3 other cars and some people around her to see if they could assist her as best as they could. This was right off the side of the road near Jim Nabors' old property. If she went down a 25 foot cliff we wouldn't have noticed their black jeep on side of the road facing the Kahului direction looking like it had rolled at least once. Don't you think that there would have been some information regarding a rescue effort involving - at the very least - a repelling down by EMS to retrieve her? Of course there would have - if she indeed did go down a "25 foot cliff". This is just another case involving irresponsible sensationalistic journalism. For what? So you could sell the story first? Get your facts straight before you publish. There's no excuse. Shame on you.
